November 11, 2013 - Summit Point Motor Park, Summit Point West Virginia was the site for the 2013 annual Wounded Warrior sports car event at the track. More than a dozen wounded warriors, all graduates of the Walter Reed Health Care System attended the all-day function. The purpose of the event was to challenge the WW to take on the course, car, and skills needed to master the turns, straight a-ways and other machines travel with them around the course. More than 24 high performance sports cars were at this year’s event. Many include new or late model Lotus sports cars; a classic LOTUS Seven from the 1970’s; Porches; Nissan 300 Z’s; Mazda Miatas; and an occasional Corvette Z1. This is the third annual event for the WW’s and was well attended by regional sport car club members.
