A dozen wounded warriors from coalition forces were entertained by Project EnduringPride.org and local restaurant owners in the village. Carlton Phillips, owner of PW Marina in Occoquan, hosted the wounded warriors at Madigan’s Waterfront Restaurant. Members of the VCU college cheerleaders squad came up to Occoquan from Richmond. The weather supported the coalition fighters, some from UL’s Prince Harry’s platoon in Afghanistan. Prince Harry visited some soldiers at Walter Reed Military Hospital in Bethesda last summer.
The group was visiting Virginia to learn more about their American counterparts. Some will stay in the United States for follow up medical procedures for their wounds or TBI.
